Hurricane Evacuation & Seasonal Storm Relocation Buses

Hurricane evacuation is a logistics problem with a closing window. Once a Florida county issues a mandatory evacuation order, buses become the scarcest asset in the state — and the operators still answering the phone are the ones who own their equipment. Phoenix Bus Orlando runs a company-owned fleet of 60+ vehicles operated in-house, so an activation confirmation is backed by a real vehicle and a real driver.

Our highest-priority missions are population movements that cannot improvise: nursing homes, assisted living and memory-care facilities, and hospitals. Those runs need low-effort boarding, climate control, onboard restrooms on full-size coaches, and deep luggage bays for mobility devices, oxygen concentrators, charts, and pharmacy supply — with facility staff and caregivers riding alongside their residents. We build the manifest with the facility's emergency coordinator and stage vehicles at the door before the wind field arrives.

Alongside healthcare evacuations we run corporate and campus continuity movements — employee and contractor evacuations for corporations and data centers, student movements for universities, and staff relocation for hospitality operators — plus first-responder and relief transport for FEMA-style task orders and state Division of Emergency Management missions. Utility restoration crews, medical staff, and infrastructure teams need seat capacity moving into the affected counties at the same time the public is moving out.

Compliance is the entry ticket for this work. Phoenix Bus Orlando holds active USDOT and FMCSA operating authority with a clean audited safety record, DOD / DOW-approved vendor status, and GSA contract vendor credentials, with insurance certificates, driver records, and vehicle inspection logs ready for contracting officer review. Our FMCSA interstate authority also lets the same coaches cross state lines on one task order — inland to Georgia, Alabama, or the Carolinas, or back into Florida with recovery crews.

During the storm itself, vehicles stage inland outside the projected surge and wind-impact zone with fuel topped off and drivers billeted nearby, so re-entry and relief runs start the moment roads are cleared.
